Sky Boom: City Defense — Privacy Policy

Summary

Sky Boom: City Defense has no account, no sign-up and no server of its own. Your progress stays on your device. The one exception is advertising: the game shows ads through Google AdMob, and those ads are described in full below.

Advertising

Ads are supplied by Google AdMob in three places:

  • A banner along the bottom of the Command Center screen
  • A banner below the battlefield while a mission is being played
  • Rewarded videos that you choose to watch in the Command Center, to unlock a turret or a city early, to receive extra meta currency or commander experience, or to receive one doctrine upgrade level

Rewarded videos are always optional. Everything they offer can also be earned by playing, and declining one costs you nothing. The game shows no full-screen ads that you did not ask for.

To deliver an ad, prevent fraud and avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly, Google may process a device identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your interaction with the ad, and diagnostic information. Google’s handling of that data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices

On iOS, the game does not ask for permission to track you. Because of that, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is never available to the game or to Google, and no tracking across other companies’ apps and websites takes place.

On Android, Google may use your device’s advertising ID to choose ads. You can reset or delete that ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, at any time in your device settings under Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads (on some devices Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads).

On any device, you can review and change how Google personalises ads for you at My Ad Center.

What the game stores

Everything below is written only to your device, through the operating system’s standard preferences storage. None of it is ever uploaded, and none of it identifies you:

  • Your commander experience and level
  • Your meta currency balance and your doctrine upgrade levels
  • The turrets and cities you have unlocked, and the city you last selected
  • Your music, sound effects and vibration settings
  • Your language choice and your preferred fire mode (automatic or manual)
  • Which one-time tutorial hints you have already seen

To erase all of it, use Settings ▸ Reset Progress inside the game, or delete the game from your device. There is no copy anywhere else.

What the game does not collect

The game does not ask for and cannot access:

  • Your name, email address or any account details
  • The camera, microphone or photo library
  • Your contacts, calendar, health or motion data
  • Precise GPS location
  • Any list of other apps installed on your device

There are no in-app purchases, no analytics service, no chat, no user-generated content and no social features.

Network

The game itself runs entirely offline. A connection is used only to fetch ads. With no connection the game simply shows no ads and carries on — the banner spaces stay empty and rewarded videos report that no ad is available.

Children

Sky Boom: City Defense is a general-audience game rather than a title submitted to the App Store Kids Category, and the advertising described above is standard mobile advertising. It contains cartoon missile and explosion effects and no external links except the ones on this page.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date at the top.
